A mini-split has one indoor unit and one outdoor unit. The indoor unit can come in many different styles. Some styles are high wall, floor mount, ceiling concealed, ceiling cassette, one-way ceiling cassette, and air handler (central).
A multi-split heat pump has one outdoor unit and multiple indoor units. The number of indoor units can be up to 8, depending on the brand and size of the system. The indoor units can combine different styles allowing us to solve unique home design challenges.
